Your questions
We have tried to answer some of the questions we think you might
ask.
However, if you have a query that we haven’t answered,
please contact us on shop@cordings.co.uk
Question: How to order on this site
Answer: Making a purchase in the Cordings on-line store
could not be easier. Simply click on the item you wish to purchase
(if you wish to view the garment more closely click the zoom button
or click on the garment itself), next click the size and colour you
want, followed by a click on ‘Add To Basket’. You will
then be shown the item you have put in your basket and can now
continue shopping or choose to checkout. When checking out you can
then view the contents of your shopping basket and alter
quantities, remove items, return to the online store to continue
shopping or clear your basket entirely.
If you are a new shopper click register, where you will be taken
through the simple registration process.
Question: How does one pay & what sort of Security is in
place?
Answer: By card: We accept the following cards:

The Cordings online store uses the very latest encryption
technology (SSL) to ensure that your transactions with us are
private and protected as they travel across the Internet. When you
proceed to make your purchase, your browser makes a connection to
the secure section of our website. Your browser will show a padlock
in the bottom right corner to indicate that it has made a secure
connection and depending on your browser a window may pop-up to
notify you that you are entering this safe area.
Question: How much is delivery and how long does it
take?
Answer: All our items are delivered by a carrier and the

Mainland UK & Northern Ireland standard delivery: £6.50. This
a DHL service which may take up to 3-5 days
Delivery within the European Union (see shipping details): £20.

Delivery to other destinations (see shipping details): £35. This
service may take up to 14 days to deliver
Please note:

All orders on this site will be charged in British Pounds
Sterling.
Question: What happens if I don’t like the items or
they do not fit?
Answer: No problem. Just send the items back to us for
either exchange or a full refund. If it is convenient to you we
also except returns in our Piccadilly store. We ask that all items
are returned in saleable condition within 28 days of purchase.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning
goods to us unless the item was delivered to you in error. We would
recommend for your own protection that you use a recorded delivery
service.
Question: What is the address?

and the contact details are as follows:

Question: Why is this product on the site if you are
completely sold out?
Answer: We are very sorry if an item you would like to order
is sold out or is delayed. We really do try and make sure that as
many items as possible are in stock. Having good stock availability
not only means happier and better-dressed customers but also more
sales and a happier accounts department. We have a team of staff
dedicated to trying to predict sales and how many of each colour
and each size of each individual product we should order.
Unfortunately this is not an exact science - and every season some
items sell far better than expected (and some not so well). In
addition, since everything is made exclusively for us, it often
takes three or four months to get repeat deliveries, and sometimes
because of the exclusivity of our fabrics we are unable to repeat
them at all. We do sincerely apologise if an item that you want to
order is out of stock and hate this problem as much as you do.
Question: Can I have free postage on my order?
Answer: We know you all like free postage. We have
considered offering it all the time but the costs would have to be
absorbed somewhere else (i.e. the price of the clothes going up).
This is a genuine charge that we have to pay and therefore we have
no alternative other than to ask you to contribute to this
cost.
Question: Why don't you always offer free returns when most
of your competitors do?
Answer: Again, as mentioned earlier, it would mean the costs
being pushed on to the clothes. The costs are more transparent this
way.
